A plain, bright room in a well-kept older house: cream painted walls, white wood trim and pale oak boards, with a sheer-curtained double-hung window flooding the room with daylight and a white cast iron radiator beneath it. A cream slipcovered armchair and a small light wood side table holding a shallow dish stand just right of the window on a large textured jute rug, and a white panelled door stands open on the left onto another pale room.

House cleaning in Dearborn Heights

Next door to home base, and the one city on this list a customer has named in writing.

Wayne County

The houses in Dearborn Heights

Almost entirely post-war. Ranches, tri-levels and split-levels from the 1950s and 1960s, single story or close to it, attached garage, and in a lot of them the original wall-to-wall carpet is still down. One and a half bathrooms is the common count.

After cleaning: the same bathroom from the same doorway in the same flat midday light. The shower door glass is now clear enough to read the green tile behind it, the chrome shower head, taps and door frame are descaled and polished, the tub is white with the drain staining and grime ring gone, the mirror and sink are spotless, the floor grout is noticeably lighter, the towel is folded on the rail and the bin is empty. The tile is still vintage and the radiator still wears its thick old paint.

What that changes

Kari Duesing’s review below is from here, which makes Dearborn Heights the one city on this page with a customer’s name attached to it.

  • 01

A ranch is one floor of vacuuming with no stairs, which is why a three-bedroom here often takes less time than a three-bedroom colonial of the same square footage.

  • 02

Split-levels are the opposite. Half-flights, landings, and a low-ceilinged lower level that gets quietly skipped by anyone working to the clock.

  • 03

Older carpet holds odour more than it holds dirt. We vacuum it properly. We do not shampoo it, and we would rather say so than let you find out.

What it costs in Dearborn Heights

The same as everywhere else we go. Price comes from the size of the house and the number of bedrooms, not from the ZIP code — a Basic Clean starts at $133 a visit on a weekly schedule, and the booking form shows your number before you commit to anything.

Deep Cleans and Move In / Move Out cleans are priced on the same form. There is no separate quote call and no visit-first survey.
