What it costs

3 questions

How much does a house cleaning cost?

A Basic Clean starts at $166 for a one-time visit to a home in the smallest square-footage band. Deep Cleans and Move In / Move Out cleans cost more, because they take longer.

The exact number depends on the size of the home, the bedrooms and bathrooms, the service you pick, how often you want it, and any extras. The booking form prices all of that and shows you the total before you confirm anything.

Why do you price by square footage instead of by the hour?

Because square footage is something you already know, and an hourly rate is not a price — it is a guess that gets settled after the work is done.

The bands are simple: each 500 square feet moves the price by about $20, and each bedroom past the first adds about $10 on a Basic Clean. Nobody is watching a clock, and a slow day at your house costs you nothing extra.

Is it cheaper if I book regularly?

You can book One-Time, or on a schedule: Weekly, Every Other Week, Every 4 Weeks. Pick the frequency in the booking form and the price updates on screen before you commit, so you can compare them side by side in about ten seconds.

A home that is cleaned every two weeks simply takes less work than one cleaned twice a year, and the price reflects that. There is no contract, no minimum number of visits and no fee for stopping.

The three cleans

What is included in a Basic Clean?

Kitchen, bathrooms, floors and surfaces, done to the same checklist every visit. Book it weekly, every other week, every four weeks, or once.

It is the maintenance clean: the one that keeps a lived-in house level rather than resetting it. If the house has not had a proper clean in a while, start with a Deep Clean and keep it there with Basic Cleans.

What is the difference between a Basic Clean and a Deep Clean?

Everything in a Basic Clean plus the parts that get skipped: baseboards, door frames, vents, behind and under what moves, built-up soap scum and grease.

A Deep Clean takes considerably longer than a Basic Clean of the same house, which is why it is priced separately in the booking form. Most first-time customers with an older or larger home are better off starting here.

When do I need a Move In / Move Out clean?

Inside every cabinet and closet, appliances in and out, marks where the furniture stood. Timed around your keys, not our calendar.

Book it when the house is empty, or as close to empty as it will get: cabinets and closets are cleaned inside, which cannot happen around boxes. Tell us your handover date in the booking notes and we will work back from it.

What extras can I add to a booking?

There are five: Inside Cabinets, Wet Wipe Window Blinds, Inside Fridge, Inside Oven, Dishes. Each one is a tick box in the booking form and each one adds to the quoted price before you confirm.

Inside the oven and inside the fridge are the two people most often forget and most often want. Anything unusual is worth a note in the booking instead — we will tell you honestly whether it is something we do.

Booking a visit

4 questions

Which areas do you cover?

We clean homes across Wayne, Oakland & Macomb County, Michigan — the Wayne, Oakland and Macomb tri-county area, out of Dearborn.

The booking form asks for your zip code and will confirm coverage before it quotes. If you are just outside the area, call us: the answer is sometimes still yes.

How do I book, and how far ahead should I do it?

Online in about a minute: pick the service, the size of the home, the frequency and any extras, see the price, and choose a date. You can also call and we will do the same thing over the phone at the same price.

A week ahead is comfortable. Move-out cleans and the end of the month fill up first, so book those as soon as you have a date.

Do I need to be home while you clean?

No, and most of our customers are not. Put your access method in the booking notes — someone home, a lockbox, a door code, or where a key is left — and tell us about the alarm.

If you would rather be there for the first visit and hand over the routine yourself, that is completely normal too.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Cancel or move a visit with at least 24 hours notice and there is no charge. Inside 24 hours we have already committed a cleaner to a slot we cannot re-sell, so a late cancellation fee may apply — and being locked out counts as a late cancellation.

You can change, skip, pause or stop a recurring plan from your account, by email, or by phone. Stopping takes the same routes as starting. The Terms of Service page has the detail.

On the day, and after

5 questions

Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?

Yes. Cleaners arrive with everything needed for the service you booked, so nothing is required from you.

If you would rather we used your products — an allergy, a pet, unsealed stone, a specific finish — leave them out and say so in the booking notes, and that is what we will use.

What should I do about pets?

Tell us in the booking notes: how many, what they are, and whether they will be loose during the visit. Cleaners are used to animals and most jobs need nothing more than a heads-up.

If a dog is not comfortable with a stranger in the house, crate it or close it into a room we can skip. A cleaner may leave a room with a loose animal that is upset, and will tell you rather than push through it.

Is there anything you will not clean?

Yes, and we would rather say so up front than discover it at your door. No biohazards, no mould remediation, no pest infestation clean-up, no post-construction debris and no hoarding conditions. Nothing outside either: exterior windows above ground level, gutters, roofs, decks and yards are all a different trade.

We also do not climb higher than a two-step stool or move furniture that takes two people. The Terms of Service page lists all of it.

What happens if I am not happy with the clean?

Tell us within 24 hours of the visit — which rooms, and what. We come back and re-clean those areas at no charge, usually within a few business days.

If you would rather we did not come back, say so and we will settle it as a credit or a refund of the affected part instead. What we will not do is argue about it.

How do I pay, and when?

By card, through the booking system. Card details go straight to Stripe, the payment processor, so neither this website nor the cleaner at your door ever sees a card number.

Cleaners do not take cash or card details in person. If anyone asks you for a card number at the door, it is not us.

Still wondering?

Ask a person. We would rather answer the question than have you guess — and if the job is not one we should be doing, we will tell you that too.
